CFC Youth [FFL] 30 Day Challenge

Day 28 - I love my state/cluster/chapter because…..

I love my state for many reasons. Texas is freaking huge. It takes about 11 hours alone just for someone from Dallas to leave Texas going towards California. It takes about 9 hours for someone in Dallas to drive to RGV and vice-versa, and it takes 4-5 hours to get to Houston from Dallas. We’re so far, yet we are united by state boundaries. After this past conference in Dallas, speaking for my own area, Dallas and RGV are like best friends on tumblr and on any webcam site, and Dallas and Houston love to joke around. I know it doesn’t look like we’re close, but if you actually take a step back and see the bonds that have been made in the past year alone, Texas has gotten to know itself better than it has in a long time, and I commend every single person for going out of their comfort zone and reaching out to others for that.

I love my Dallas for many reasons as well. For one, Dallas is starting to get so multicultural, it’s ridiculous. It just shows that we aren’t a Filipino community, but we’re a Catholic one. Vietnamese people, white people, black people, Hispanic people, I’ve seen plenty join in Dallas in 2011. I mean yeah, there’s still a majority of Filipinos, but I remember camps, assemblies, and households where there would ONLY be Filipinos. A city united by God, speaking the same language of truth, that’s why I love Dallas.
